The Industrial Development Agency participates in a 3 years European project “CEE – Cluster Network (the network of clusters in the Central and Eastern Europe).
The works envisaged in the project are carried out by the international consortium composed of agencies and governmental institutions from 8 countries: Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary and Italy. The project is financed out of 6. Framework Programme and encompasses the following stages:
- Analysis of existing strategies and innovation programmes, as well as the initiatives of supporting the industrial clusters in individual countries under a criterion to identify the “best practices”,
- Formulating the recommendations in the scope of common strategies and plans of the clusters initiatives development as well as the instruments supporting their development.
- Promotion activities concerning the idea of clusters (international conferences in Brussels and Stockholm, as well as the participation in domestic conferences).
- Preparing the implementation of the European Academy of Clusters project destined for managers and animators of the cluster initiatives.
It is worth indicating, that thanks to the participation in the CEE – Cluster Network, the Industrial Development Agency, as well as the Polish enterprises have an opportunity of using the knowledge, experience, good practices and international contacts, which are helpful to support the development of clusters in Poland. The industrial clusters are already commonly perceived as the driving force behind regional innovation and competitiveness of the enterprises.
The project shall be performed until September 2009 and all the interested parties are requested to contact the project coordinator in the IDA.
