The Industrial Development Agency carries out the activities aimed at increase of effectiveness of the cooperation of scientific and research centres with entrepreneurs. Since 2002, there actively functions, established by the Agency, the Foundation Innovation Centre FIRE, which task is to implement the results of scientific research.

The Foundation provides on preferential terms a comprehensive advisory assistance in the scope of commercialisation of innovative undertakings, (link www.innowacje.org.pl).

Except for cooperation with the Foundation, the Industrial Development Agency at present starts the performance of a number of activities aimed at increasing the efficiency of cooperation of the scientific environment with the industry and the increase of effectiveness of the flow of knowledge and technology between those environments.

Such activity is the preparation and promotion of model solutions in the scientific entities in the scope of procedures and regulations of the turnover of industrial property. That is aimed at improvement of components of the technology transfer system between science and industry, and in effect – enlargement of level of innovation of the Polish economy. The Industrial Development Agency carries out also the activities relating to initiation and creation of science & technology parks and technology incubators. An example of such activity is creation of the technology incubator in Stalowa Wola, in the area left over after restructuring of Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. The Agency partners in that project are: the administrative district of Stalowa Wola, the Regional Economic Chamber in Stalowa Wola, and the Technical University of Rzeszów.
